MINIATURE MELBOURNE
A short tilt-shift time-lapse film featuring my home town, the city of Melbourne, Australia.
This piece is 10 months in the making and features a range of different events and festivals held in the city throughout the year. Most of the shots were captured from the Eureka Skydeck, which is a lookout at the top of Melbourne's tallest building. Other locations were the Shrine of Remembrance memorial, car parks and bridges around the city. The tilt-shift effect and grading was applied in Photoshop, and the film was edited in LRTimelapse, After Effects and Premiere Pro CS6.

Music: "Reflections" by Tom Day. Big thanks to Tom for his sound effects and audio mix. You can check out more of his work here.

Equipment: Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 17-40mm f/4L, 24-105mm f/4L and 70-300mm f/4-5.6 USM

Featured in The Age, The Discovery Channel, Australian Geographic, Gizmodo and JaredLeto.com</description>

GREAT OCEAN ROAD
It is not difficult to see why these weathered coastlines have become Australian landscape icons. The unforgiving conditions on the edge of the Southern Ocean have created some of the countries most spectacular scenery
While the area is very much a tourist hotspot and paved walking tracks and fences have taken a lot of the 'adventure' out of the region, there is no denying the sheer beauty of this stretch of coastline. The limestone cliffs have been worn away by the wind, rain and tides to create such landmarks as the famous 12 Apostles, London Bridge and the Loch Ard Gorge.

WALKING IN THE MIST
Melbourne's outer east is an area with large valleys and surrounded by small mountains ranges. Because of this, it receives more than it's fair share of foggy mornings.
Growing up on the banks of the Yarra River in Eltham, I have always been drawn to the natural landscape in the 'green wedge'. Autumn and winter bring cold, clear nights and with that comes frost and fog, elements which transform the landscape and create a sense of mystery and wonder. For the last few years I have been exploring the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges, trying to capture the magical nature this weather brings.

This series is processed with an illustrative style and designed to further emphasise the painterly quality captured in these misty worlds.

SEASCAPES
There has always been a strong connection between landscape photographers and the ocean. Whether I'm standing at the edge of a small bay or on the shores of the Pacific, the ocean will always draw me back time and time again.
This collection features the best seascapes I have photographed over a number of years, from the crystal clear waters of Thailand to the rugged Mornington Peninsular National Park.

PLENTY VALLEY SKIES
The Plenty Valley lies in Melbourne's outer North-east and is home to open flood-plains created by the Plenty River.
While the landscape itself is not of much interest, these vast plains afford wide, almost uninterrupted views all the way to the horizon. This is perfect for capturing the recent storms that have hit Victoria since the drought ended a few years ago. With virtually no hills to offer any protection from the elements, in summer the valley sees storms roll in without warning and demonstrates the raw power of nature.

NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand is a photographers heaven. This tiny country is home to some of the world's most spectacular and unique landscapes.
The difference between the Australian and New Zealand landscapes always amazes me. Soaring snow-capped mountains, immense aqua lakes, rolling green hills and wild coastlines are all densely placed into two small islands.

The landscape literarily changes around every turn. Driving for a few short hours will take you through a huge variety of inspiring scenery. With so much of the South Island being designated as national park everything seems to be truly pristine. The hand of man has had very little influence on the environment compared to the rest of the world. There are cities, but they are small and relaxed. They are beautiful in there own right, but it is the natural attractions that truly inspire.

Mount Cook National Park and Mackenzie Country
Big is the best word I can use to describe Mount Cook National Park. And big does not come close to doing it justice. I am always overwhelmed by the scale of the scenery when I visit. The vast, open Canterbury Plains are broken by the staggering peaks of the Southern Alps.

Central Otago
Since the first time I visited New Zealand I have wanted to return in the peak of the autumn season. In late April, Central Otago offers a beautiful display of autumn foliage. Deciduous trees scatter the hillsides and the rivers and creeks become awash with coloured leaves.

Fiordland and the WIld West Coast
While all of New Zealand seems pristine and untouched, Fiordland National Park and the West Coast truly live up to this reputation. Home to most of the only remaining native forest in the South Island, these regions and rugged, remote and create a sense that one has reached the edge of the world.

THE HIGH COUNTRY
Australia's alpine regions are different to any other part of the country. While the island nation is famous for it's dry red landscapes found in the North, the high country is home to snow capped peaks, dense rain forests and historic deciduous trees from early European settlement.
I have visited the high country many times over the last few years. It is a fantastic place to photograph with a vast range of subject matter. In autumn, the valleys are flooded with colours. The deciduous trees have become so famous they now have a two week festival in the town of Bright to celebrate.

Winter brings snow to the highest peaks, as well as the amazing granite plateau that is Mount Buffalo. A large national park, this mountain is home to a diverse range of wildlife and landscapes. From the lush forests at the foothills to the huge granite boulders that sit at the summit, there is something to favour all conditions.
